FAQ
What is a foster closet?
Our main objective is to provide foster families and organizations with tangible resources, including clothes, diapers, bottles, toys, formula, beds, bedding, and other essentials when they receive an emergency placement. These care packages will be stored in a facility until we receive the call.
What is an emergency placement?
An emergency placement in foster care occurs when a child is removed from their home due to a crisis situation, such as abuse, neglect, or an unsafe living environment. In such cases, the child is placed with a foster family or in a temporary shelter until a more permanent placement can be arranged. Emergency placements are typically made on short notice and can occur at any time, day or night. Foster care organizations and foster families play a crucial role in providing a safe and stable environment for these children during this difficult time.
Meet The Board
Toby and Amber White - Founders
Toby and Amber's passion for helping foster children and their families runs deep, and it is a passion that has been fueled by their own experiences as foster parents. Over the course of three years, they opened their hearts and their home to nine beautiful little souls, providing them with love, support, and a safe place to call home.
Through their experiences, Toby and Amber began to recognize the need for more support for foster families. They were grateful for the way their community and church rallied around them each time they took on a new placement, providing much-needed support and encouragement. This allowed them to focus on helping each child heal and integrate into their family, without being overwhelmed by the practical challenges of fostering.
Their own two daughters, Sophia and Isa, were integral to their journey as foster parents. They helped to create a loving and nurturing environment for each child who came into their home, and were deeply invested in the process of fostering and adoption.
In 2021, Toby and Amber's family grew when they officially adopted their son, Malachi. This experience deepened their commitment to the cause of foster care and the well-being of foster children, inspiring them to become even more involved in supporting foster families..
